Effective International Business Communication
A training course in Conversational English
The main purpose of this course is to help you speak English better and more easily. Working together as a team we learn how to present our ideas in a short, simple, clear way.
We meet once a week for 60 or 90 minutes. Individual or small group classes of three to six people are held in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Lessons are on days and at times that best fit student schedules.
Practical work is welcome. We can examine, discuss, and clarify business documents such as emails, reports, and presentations. In these discussions we support our interpersonal communication skills for telephoning, video conferencing, and face-to-face business contact. We practice small talk and socializing to improve our customer care abilities.
We do grammar as needed – especially verb tenses – to understand and communicate more effectively with our international colleagues and clients. During our conversations we strengthen our technical and general vocabularies. Reading, writing, and listening exercises are important parts of what we do together, but the central focus is always on speaking.
Classes are offered at the CEF (Common European Framework) A1 (beginner), A2 (pre-intermediate), B1 Parts 1 & 2 (intermediate), B2 (upper-intermediate), and C1 and C2 (advanced) levels.
There are also classes in Management English.
Business seminars of 10 to 20 academic hours each covering specialized business topics are also possible. These may include English for emails, negotiating, marketing and advertising – whatever a client needs to be confident in any situation.
